Description
The Maldives Master is a 42-meter liveaboard operating in the Maldives with a capacity for 26 divers. The itinerary sails north from Malé, exploring atolls with strong current channels, submerged pinnacles, and cleaning stations where reef mantas are commonly spotted. The daily rhythm includes up to three guided dives, departing from the 19-meter support dhoni Blue Shadow, a boat specifically designed for diving operations. The diving style combines drifts in current channels, thila dives, and visits to cleaning stations, with marine life such as reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, and, depending on the season, whale sharks and manta ray aggregations. Nights anchored in the atolls, with the boat's lights illuminating the water column, offer sightings of mantas and whale sharks from the deck. A safari suitable for experienced divers comfortable with currents and open-water diving.
Itinerary
Welcome aboard.
Arrival to the Maldives Master on the same day as the flights thanks to the frequency of flights to Malé, with a restriction to arrive by 1:00 PM to make it to the meeting point on time. We embark in Malé via a pick-up in a dhoni anchored in front of the airport, from where we will go directly to the Maldives Master. Once on board, we make introductions, receive instructions about the boat and its safety, and enjoy dinner. Please note that there will be no diving on this embarkation day.
